Manhattan Gown

The Manhattan Gown is an exquisite couture piece. Silk chiffon is hand-embroidered with hundreds of delicate 3-dimensional bouquets, each flower is handmade from fine thread and accented with a faux pearl. Undulating stems rendered in glass beads, sequins and thread are accented with embroidered leaves and beaded flowers. The front features a sweetheart lining and bateau neck, and the back and sleeves are sheer. The scalloped sleeves are edged with a narrow border of beads. A densely embroidered band encircles the waist, fastening at the centre back with an invisible zip. Fine silk rouleau ties finished with handmade petals secure the open back. The full A-line skirt spreads out from the hip into a regal train.

Each Bo & Luca piece is carefully hand-beaded in India by artisans who are trained in the traditional art of tambour embroidery. Our silk is hand-dyed in loose-leaf white tea, which creates a characteristic soft ivory hue. All Bo & Luca gowns are made-to-order and take 6-12 months to create.

The Manhattan Gown has a fitted bodice and sleeve. The skirt is fitted at the waist and semi-fitted at the hip. It is true to size.

This gown is made from pure silk chiffon, lined with Indian satin.
