Harriet Sample | 10AU

The Harriet Gown is reminiscent of the effortless silhouettes of the seventies. The bodice is intricately beaded with tonal flowers, rendered in sequins and glass beads. Layers of sheer georgette float gently as you walk. The deep neckline and raised umpire waist have an elongating effect, and the tiered semi-circular sleeves flutter softly. The back falls in a deep v and the shoulders are secured with fine silk ties. It features a subtle train and is fastened with an invisible zip at the centre back.

This gown is in good condition. The colour of the silk has deepened to ivory, and the beading has oxidised with time. There is a tiny hole near the centre back seam, and one of the petals is missing from the back tie. There are some makeup marks around the neckline though that would likely improve with dry cleaning.
