The quietly elegant Spencer gown is reminiscent of the effortless glamour of the 1930s. The blouson top is adorned with hand-beaded straps and a bold waistband, encrusted in faceted crystals, glass beads, and sequins in shades of vintage gold and cognac. The pure lines and fit-and-flare silhouette emphasise the beauty of the silk satin. The panelled skirt features inset godets, which create a gentle drape culminating in the sweeping train. The closure is an invisible zip at the centre back, secured with a hook & eye.

This gown is in very good condition. The centre back seam of the skirt is slightly stretched and there is minor distortion on the fabric near the front right godet. There is some light discolouration around the neckline and a subtle mark near the back hem that would likely disappear with dry cleaning.

Size 10AU. This gown has a loose-fitting bodice, a close-fitting skirt to the hips and is true to size.

The gown overlay is pure silk satin. The bodice is lined with pure silk georgette and the skirt is lined in Indian satin.
